The only reason why I decided to write this review, it has become again disagreement with the others. Someone wrote that the presentation of facts in the film allegedly filed with a very subjective side (start reasoning about social issues instead of evaluation of the film, you seriously?). Do I have the opposite impression that the entire film purely from the part of the observer, not getting any whose side, showing and positive and negative traits of the characters that black that white. Yeah and the notorious racism is present here and those other.
Of course, many will say that based on actual events the film directed by Kathryn Bigelow on the riots in Detroit 1967 does not affect the Russian audience, and they will be right. But here for a wrapper for pseudodocumentaries on the riots on the streets, hides a powerful psychological Thriller, it is hardly inferior "the Experiment" (2001) and the like. And that outweighs some of the cons, the type of syndrome is the twitching of the camera and is too enthusiastic about dramatic a-line failed musician.
Of the actors it's impossible not to highlight will Poulter John Boyega. First, don't matter the appearance of the high school, was able to build a vivid image of the sadist, which is really scary. Moreover, the hero of the Poulter has a strong influence on colleagues who are his order is ready to be violent. Well and John Boyega I saw the first time, showed a very fine acting, as if with one glance of passing the internal state of the hero. This "game eyes", characteristic of the rare actors-African Americans, recently showed is that Daniel Kalua in film "Off" (by the way, they're both British, which for some reason took to play the Americans that leads to some reflections). Why not tell about Anthony Mackie, which my opinion, with your challenge is weak, but but emblazoned on the poster.
The film is not trying to impose their point of view, and thus skilfully tells the story, and therefore deserves as low, good grades. But if you see all propaganda-racism (read — don't like movies about blacks), feel free to pass by.
